This summer we’ve launched a series of competitions to help a variety of causes spread the word and raise even more!
At the beginning of June, we hosted a competition in partnership with RSPCA. Every supporter who raised a donation from the RSPCA through easyfundraising was entered into a prize draw for a chance to win £500 to spend at Amazon.
The lucky winner, Louise Jackson from Wakefield, kindly split the prize with her local RSPCA Centre – from where she had homed her own dog, Honey!
With the windfall, the RSPCA Centre was able to buy new equipment, including leads, a see-saw and agility sets for their residents! This is fantastic news and shows how rewarding taking part can be! High-five to Louise!
Throughout May and early June, in partnership with England Athletics, athletics clubs registered with easyfundraising were pitted against each other! The club raising the most donations after 5 weeks won £150 of New Balance athletics kits!
Winchester and District Athletic Club set the pace for most of the competition remaining in the lead until the final hurdle, but with a week to go, a Facebook status update of the leader board changed everything. Northern Frontrunners club shared the post with a battle cry for their supporters to get shopping and help them win.
Generating £70 of donations in the last week of the competition – they did just that, winning the competition! Wow! The power of social media, This result is a great example of what can be achieved when club communities come together in order to reach a fundraising target.
