“I’m a carer for an 18 y/o disabled boy, he’s a fantastic lad and a real ray of sunshine in the lives of everyone he meets. He has no speech and a heart condition (among other things) which meant that his life expectancy was very low – gladly he has proved the doctors wrong and is still plugging away!
“We took him out to a bowling arcade for his 18th birthday and he fell in love with the Air Hockey table they had – we had to literally prize him off it when it was time to go home! He also went on a charity horse-riding holiday in August, and had the time of his life, not just with the horses and his friends, but also with the table tennis game. It took him a while to get the hang of it, and by the time he did we had to go home, but he was determined and has been playing table tennis on his Wii ever since!
Sadly due to a variety of different events, his family (single mother and older brother) have no money this Christmas, and they’re not sure if they will be able to afford anything for him.
I chose this product to enter the competition for him. I think it would be a wonderful Christmas gift for him and his family, in the true spirit of what Christmas is all about, and would provide him with hours of endless fun playing against everyone he can! It would honestly mean a lot to all of us if he won, and would provide him with something to practice his dexterity and coordination in a fun, challenging way.”
