Animal Rescue Kos works to care for and rehome stray and mistreated animals on the Greek island of Kos. Four volunteers work round the clock all year long while more than thirty foster carers provide safe homes during the winter.
Fundraiser Katie Brown explains more: “At Animal Rescue Kos, we help animals to not only survive, but also become loving pets.
We find them forever homes once we have rehabilitated them, we educate people about animal health and wellbeing as well as training current owners, training the dogs and encouraging sterilisations. We even ship the animals world wide where they can live with tourists that fell in love with them while they were on the island. We are trying to build an animal sanctuary to re home all the street animals in Greece. ”
