Fundraising News: We’re Helping Schools Raise More in 2013!

Our recent partnership with PTA-UK means we’ll be helping UK schools raise much needed funds in 2013.

PTA-UK is a national charity and the only membership organisation for PTAs in England,
Wales and Northern Ireland. Their 13,750 member schools represent over 7 million parents and teachers.

We’ve already raised £4 million for charities and good causes, including over £240,000 raised by PTAs across the UK so far, and by teaming up with PTA-UK, we’re aiming to reach out to many more schools across the country and get them raising money when their parents and supporters shop online.

The average supporter using easyfundraising.org.uk raises £32 per year, imagine multiplying that by seven million – this could mean a staggering £200 million being raised for our schools!

David Butler, PTA-UK Chief Executive, says, “Fundraising is the core of PTA activity. The partnership with easyfundraising.org.uk will give our members unrivalled access to an easy way to fundraise”.

Together with PTA-UK we’ll be working to develop a new dedicated online shopping portal exclusively for PTA-UK members, featuring a dedicated page for each PTA-UK member school to help them get started, including lots of hints, tips and advice, tailored to PTAs, on how to maximise funds raised.

PTA-UK members will be able to start fundraising with easyfundraising.org.uk from early November.  With over £6 billion estimated to be spent online in the UK this Christmas alone, this could make a huge difference to schools and their pupils.

Our MD Gary Thompson, said “We recognise that many parents and staff are busy people who would love to support their school more but simply don’t have the time. easyfundraising.org.uk provides an easy quick way for them to do just that. It certainly is exciting times for easyfundraising.org.uk, PTA UK and PTA fundraisers across the country.”
