Win a Laura Ashley Goody Bag

How are you doing on your New Year’s resolutions? For many of us, January is a month of good intentions that are broken as soon as the biscuit tin comes into view.

If you can’t help helping yourself, then resolutions aimed at helping others might have proved easier to keep. Perhaps you promised yourself you’d call on your elderly neighbour every so often, or do some voluntary work?

Tell us your resolutions

Tell us about your New Year’s  Resolutions and you could win a fabulous Laura Ashley goody bag worth £100. After all, you deserve something for your good intentions – and we promise you’ll feel much better about this reward than you would about a contraband biscuit!

Subscribe to our blog too!

You’ve got until 31st January to enter this competition and we’ll announce the winner here on the blog. To make sure you get all the details of this and other competitions, enter your email address in the ‘subscribe’ box and we’ll send our latest blog posts straight to your inbox!

Our first grand daughter was born – when her mum was only 24 weeks pregnant! (in Capetown, South Africa). We were visiting ZA for “mummy’s” wedding when our darling wee one arrived. With all the care from hospital staff, mummy and daddy, she has thrived and will be 3 in June! We weren’t able to cuddle/hold her then because she was too fragile. The good news is that they are coming to see us (for real – unskyped!) in June this year for K’s birthday. My resolution is to make the most of every moment they are here – and hopefully she will like her granny and granpa and let us cuddle her and hopefully mummy and daddy will let us spoil her – a little!

  168. Ashleigh Hoskin who supports Believe in Magic says:

Last year i did the ‘Race For Life’ in May for my Aunite who sadly passed away due to lung cancer, i was only 7 at the time which is very young to actually understand what ‘cancer’ really is. Now that i’m older, after growing up without an auntie i would like to prevent other people having to go through what i had to. I’m 15 now and forever wishing she was able to watch me grow up. It’s heartbreaking to know that she won’t see everything i do, she was such a fighter but she wasn’t as lucky with her battle with cancer and sadly it won. After saying i was going to get ‘fit’ so i could complete the 5k race in a good time i said i was going to start jogging..i went once and gave up and ran the 5k in 45 minutes…in a few years i would like to run the 10k and get an amazing time. Therefore my new yers resolution is to actually get fit and never give up!

  169. Audrey Thompson who supports Lhanbryde Primay School says:

I havent broken any of my New Years Resolution as I decided against making any this year!
