About Headway East London
Headway East London (HEL), registered charity was set up through the initiative of Dr Richard Greenwood, Director of the Regional Neurological Rehabilitation Unit at Homerton Hospital, who identified the lack of support following rehabilitation for people with a brain injury in London. The current estimate of people suffering the long term effects of brain injury in London is 30,000 and HEL is one of only two in Greater London running a brain injury specific day centre.
