About Folk Weekend Oxford
Folk Weekend is a new festival that was started in 2012. We are a community festival, offering opportunities for local artists and community groups to perform alongside nationally and internationally renowned musicians. We have a strong programme of youth activities including events for local special schools, and inviting youth groups to perform at the festival. Over half of our events during the festival are free to attend, meaning that anyone of any age or background has the chance to join in the fun! However we do need to pay for the festival somehow! We're fundraising as hard as possible and every little helps, so we're very grateful for all the support.
