More about Heartbeat UK Chorus

Based in Marple, near Stockport, Heartbeat is an all female acapella choir, who meet regularly to practice, perform, socialise, and have fun. We currently have over 60 singers of all ages, all walks of life, and drawn from a wide catchment area. The main purpose of Heartbeat Chorus is to get out and sing. We sing at shows, community events, and at annual competitions. In addition to sharing our music with others, another great passion of ours is learning more about the art of acapella singing, which means singing without any musical accompaniment. Vocal instruction is a regular part of chorus rehearsals, and a very important component of the chorus experience. We regularly employ guest educators and coaches, from the UK and abroad, and are always looking to learn new tricks and techniques.
