Hijinx Theatre

Hijinx Theatre believes in equality of opportunity and that everyone has something to offer regardless of ability. All our work is high quality and fun. We have a wide portfolio of activities, all of which include adults with learning disabilities. They are : • Professional productions which tour throughout the UK with an inclusive cast • Unity Festival – an annual international arts Festival featuring the best inclusive arts activity from around the world • Odyssey project – a local participatory group which includes adults with learning disabilities who meet for weekly drama sessions and produce one major Christmas production with performances at the WMC’s studio theatre. Regular collaborators are pupils from Meadowbank Special School and music students from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. • Drama training for adults with learning disabilities to whom the usual academic route is not open • Hijinx Pods – short performance pieces for conferences and festivals in a wide variety of styles from a rock band to a mime piece.
