About Hopper Haven
Hopper Haven is an animal welfare charity specialising in rabbits and guinea pigs, two species which are much abused in our society. In fact the RSPCA has said that rabbits are the most abused animals in the UK. Hopper Haven gives sanctuary to up to 40 groups of rabbits and 20 groups of guinea pigs. Many of our residents are elderly or unwell, or have other problems such as coats which matt easily or agression or extreme nervousness. We aim to give our animals the best quality of life that we can, managing health issues so that they can remain outside in a large area rather than be confined in a small cage.
