Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia is a rare form of non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (a cancer). The International Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia Foundation (a US-based international non-profit organization devoted to providing support and information to cancer patients, care givers, and medical professionals, and to fund research to cure WM.
All activities of the Foundation are designed to support the following five objectives:
•To provide encouragement and support to WM patients and their families.
•To provide a means for patients and families to communicate with others facing the challenges of the disease.
•To provide informational materials and educational programs about the basics of the disease and treatment options.
•To increase awareness of WM in the broader cancer arena and in the general public.
•To encourage and support research toward more effective treatments and ultimately a cure for WM.
