Mufoto is the name given to the school link established in 2005 between Fortrose Academy in the North of Scotland and Mulanje Community Day Secondary School in southern Malawi. So far there have been three exchange visits with varying focuses: promoting HIV/AIDs education, conservation work, developing an understanding of trade and aid and gender issues. Through fundraising and awareness raising, pupils are encouraged to develop social and communication skills thus improving confidence. Currently, we are planning our 2012 expedition involving 16 pupils and 3 members of staff all of whom have to raise £1200 as well as making a personal contribution of £800 towards the costs of the trip and the building of a school hall. We are working on this project with Engineers Without Borders and hope also to look at the possibility of sourcing a sustainable form of energy.

How it works
easyfundraising partners with over 7,500 brands who will donate part of what you spend to a cause of your choice. It won't cost you any extra. The cost is covered by the brand.
Brands pay us a commission because when you start your shop from the easyfundraising website or app, they can see we sent you to them. If you make a purchase, a commission is generated, and we turn that into a donation - magic!
