About Pets As Therapy
Pets As Therapy have approx. 3,500 PAT dogs and 100 PAT cats helping in therapy and bringing smiles, friendship, laughter and memories to people of all ages throughout the U.K. At present over 100,000 people benefit every single week by the service provided in Hospitals, Hospices, Care Homes, Day Care Centres, Special Needs Schools and many other establishments. Often working with people who have suffered \'strokes\' or the clinically depressed or with children suffering from animal phobias, these animals are a lifeline to many and are a huge benefit to the community.
