Polish Psychologists’ Association (PPA; formerly known as Polish Psychologists Club) is a charitable organisation which professional psychological support to the Polish community in the UK through a range of free psychological services such as counselling, career planning, individual and family psychotherapy, online and phone psychological advice, workshops and conferences. The Association also leads several psychological research projects and develops a networking forum for its members who are Polish Psychology Practitioners living and working in the UK and provides a support platform in order to develop their professional careers outside their home country. PPA promotes tolerance and respect for other cultures by raising awareness of equality & diversity issues to help the integration of Polish immigrants into the diverse community in the UK. Polish Psychologists’ Association mission is to provide free psychological support to the Polish speaking community in the UK and it manages all initiatives on the basis of unpaid, voluntary work of its members (nearly 200 volunteers at present). Current operational costs are mainly covered by membership fees which are not sufficient to enable the Association to address all needs and there is a surging demand for increasing current psychological support.
