More about Sense

Sense is a national charity that supports and campaigns for some of the most isolated people in today’s society: children and adults who are both deaf and blind.

We provide specialist information, advice and services to deaf, blind people, their families, carers and the professionals who work with them. We also support people who have sensory impairments alongside other additional disabilities.

Our services include help for families, day services where deafblind people can build confidence and learn new skills, and Sense-run houses in the community – where people are supported to live independently. Our communicator-guides offer a vital lifeline to deafblind people living in their own homes. We also provide specialist advice on, for example, education options and assistive technology.
