Information, advice and activities for the over 50s and Carers It is a registered charity, based at Allan Taylor House, 27 Charles Street, Leigh, working with and for the benefit of the over 50’s throughout the borough of Wigan. It currently provides a range of services which support older people and carers of all ages by providing information, advice and signposting on a wide number of issues and works very closely with the Carers Helpline. It hosts Wigan Independent Advice Centre one morning/week for benefits advice, and the Health Trainers use our centre for consultations. We also offer a one-to-one counselling service provided by fully qualified counsellors. Very importantly, Pensioners Link provides a wide range of social activities, which are very well attended by older people and carers. Activities include arts and crafts, exercise and relaxation, holistic therapies, coffee mornings, tai chi, spanish and IT.
