About Anxiety Care

Anxiety Care works with people with anxiety disorders, obsessions and phobias, encouraging those affected to use their strengths to work towards recovery and to maintain their recovery. With the support of our trained volunteers, clients are enabled to plan, initiate and carry through personal recovery programmes using cognitive behavioural techniques and gradual exposure exercises. We do this through a wide variety of services including support and recovery groups, confidence building group, helpline, structured recovery home visits, face to face counselling, website, on-line discussion room, email counselling and support. Between July 2005-August 2006, we had more than 2,330 individual contacts with our service users and our website received over 130,000 visits.
