Last Christmas Friends of Bleasby CofE Primary School pulled out all the stops and managed to raise a spectacular £1,370.71 without the need for a Christmas miracle!
With such a phenominal amount raised we simple had to know how they did it and after speaking to them it was clear to see they’d really thought outside the gift box and thought up some magical ways to spread the word and sign people up at the schools festive events.
Here are our five favourite fundraising tips from Bleasby
A sweet reminder
The parents at the Christmas show all got a candy cane each. Attached was a little message reminding them to do their Christmas shopping through easyfundraising.
Lemons and laptops
For the school disco Friends of Bleasby had their own t-shirts printed with the slogan “easyfundraising. It’s easy, peasy, lemon squeezy” and cannily used laptops and signed up parents on the spot.
If someone found a good deal, they let their easyfundraising supporters know about it on Facebook. Things like local deals on restaurants on Groupon went down a treat with parents.
The season of giving
At the end of the year each child was given a Frisbee to take home, on it they left a heartfelt message letting parents know how much they appreciated their support.
Tools at the ready
They made sure they used everything available and made life easy with the festive fundraising tools on the easyfundraising website. They used the ready written emails and newsletters to send regular updates and even downloaded and printed the flyers and popped them in book bags.
“The money we’ve raised through easyfundraising has been a God send. We’ve funded an additional 11 laptops for the school, a laptop trolley, new atlases, new dictionaries and colour coded Usbourne Children’s Books which have been absolutely loved. Honestly, we don’t know what we’d do without them now. They’ve made such a positive difference” – Claire Price, Bleasby CofE Primary School
