1 Troop SDGs is a Army Cadet Force Unit Based in East Kilbride it is open to both males and females ages 12 to 18 year olds.We develop young people physically and mentally, improving self-confidence, teamwork, friendship and leadership.
What do we do?
We provide a broad range of largely free, fun, exciting and challenging, educational and adventurous opportunities. We are a gateway to recognised vocational qualifications from the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme to BTEC First Diplomas which can help in working and school Life.
How do we support the local community?
Our unit has helped out at a number of events for help for heros as well helping out at water stations for the glasgow half marathon, Womans 10k and other sporting events, we also help collect funds for the British Red Cross and Poppy Appeal. We have also taken part in Bag Packing events for our local supermarkets chosen charitys raising over £1,000 each time we do this.
