About A Chance For Ruth

Ruth White is a 27 year old mum from Tenby diagnosed with recurrent cervical cancer. The aim of the fund is to raise money for a procedure called StereoTactic Radiotherapy, also known as Cyberknife. The treatment has been available in the UK for about a year, but there is very limited availabilty for treatment on the NHS, and private treatment is very expensive. There are a number of centres across Europe, and we are currently in contact with a hospital in Turkey but it is likely we will need to consult with a number of hospitals, as each has different sets of criteria for eligible patients. Ruth’s oncologist has given us her support in undergoing this procedure. We need to raise £20,000.
