Y Care International 2015 - Anne Thompson

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am fundraising on behalf of Y Care International (ICS), a charity that works with YMCAs and youth organisations around the world to improve the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged young people. For more information on ICS and Y Care International follow these links: http://www.volunteerics.org/ http://www.ycareinternational.org/ I am lucky enough to be taking part in a 10 week development project where I will be working alongside local young volunteers to help prepare for natural disasters, as well as helping with projects to teach young people about key health issues and skills to find work. My target is £800, all of which will go directly to the charity, not a penny will be used to cover my expenses. Over the next couple of months until departure I will be doing a range of activities in an attempt to raise awareness and gain sponsorship. To kick it off I will be taking part in the 'Live below the line challenge' which consists of living off just £1 worth of food per day for 5 days. As well as the small task of completing a half marathon...... 13 miles eeeek.... (Why oh why?!). Any donation however small can go a long way and will be greatly appreciated.
