In September 2021, I will be trekking 81km with my university to Machu Picchu to raise money for the Meningitis Research Foundation. The trek will take six days to complete before reaching Machu Picchu, camping in the mountains every night.Shockingly, meningitis and neonatal septicaemia kills more children under the age of five than malaria, measles, tetanus and AIDS combined.£8 per month can give doctors tools to diagnose meningitis and £20 per month can alert 1000 to get vaccinated.
