World Challenge Malawi 2018 - Callan Matthews

It is a well known fact that a lot of countries in Africa are not blessed with state of the art educational facilities and instead are plagued with low rates of basic education, depriving the children there of a basic human right. The World Challenge Organisation came to my sixth form and made their disadvantages even clearer, outlining exactly how unfortunate some of these children are, putting into perspective just how lucky me and my peers at Whitburn sixth form are to have such a modern and advanced school. To help these children attain an education and provide them with a brighter future, World Challenge have given us the opportunity to make a difference and contribute to the fantastic work they have been doing over there. We will collaborate with locals to build new facilities for the children of Malawi which will encourage people to attend school and broaden their future. In order to help them, however me and my team must raise £2800 each to cover the costs of the project, so have come together and organised fundraisers and other events in order to reach our target. Despite this I would greatly appreciate any further donations to help reach our goal. The expedition is in July 2018 and hopefully by then you will have helped me on my way to giving the children of Malawi a future, thank you.
