About World Challenge Vietnam and Laos 2013 - Catherine Dalton

I'm Charlotte Dalton. At the moment I'm 15 years old and I go to Bishop Wand Church of England School. In the Summer of 2013, 12 of us are flying out to Vietnam and Laos, two of the most poorest countries in the whole world. The money I recieve will go towards Kit, Vaccines(which I need 12), Malaria Tablets(5 months worth) and the actual journey. There will be 4 phases of our journey; Acclimatisation and Trekking - In the north teams fly in and out of Hanoi, Vietnam’s political capital, that still retains much of the beautiful architecture influenced by French colonisation. There is much to do in and around Hanoi, and some good acclimatisation trekking can be enjoyed by visiting any one of a handful of National Parks within a day’s drive of the capital. Teams in the south fly in and out of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), also still known as Saigon, Vietnam’s economic capital which offers all the excitement and bustle of a big developing city. Acclimatisation trekking includes the jungle of Cat Tien National Park and the remote forests on Buon Ma Thuot near the Cambodian Border. Project - The majority of projects in Vietnam are community based and involve taking part in construction and renovation at care homes and orphanages for disadvantaged children. Challengers may well become totally immersed in a very friendly Vietnamese community, assisting with some informal English teaching and playing games with the local children. Rest and Relaxation - In the North, teams can visit the spectacular World Heritage Site of Halong Bay, including over 3000 tiny islands dotted with beaches and grottos. The South offers teams the chance to relax on one of the many beaches with the clear turquoise waters of the east coast, or to explore green fields and sleepy villages throughout the Mekong Delta region. I have to raise £3695 before June 2013. I would be extermly grateful if you supported my cause! -NOTE- If i reach over my target, I will be giving any left over money to my team. I will NOT keep this for myself, unless I need to buy trekking equipment. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUPPORTING MY CAUSE!

"There's quite a few sites similar to easyfundraising. But where this site stands out is it's helpful & quick replies to queries. It is so easy to set up an account & to start saving for a good cause - I've recommended easyfundraising to a lot of my friends, and they're as impressed as I am with the ease of how it works."

"I run a not for profit Community Interest Company and shared our cause. Very easy to use, templates ready to share on social media, with direct links to our page and pop up reminders installed for when I was shopping with numerous websites, where I could gain the free donation. Excellent service and a fabulous idea."
