About East African Playgrounds Uganda 2017 - Connor Woolner

Hi, my name is Connor, I am a final year student at the University of Hertfordshire and I'm currently studying BEng Automotive Engineering with Motorsport. Volunteering abroad is something I've wanted to do for a long time, however, due to either studies or work I have never yet been able to achieve that dream. After finding out about the East African Playgrounds project and learning about the great work they do to help bring happiness to children in Uganda, it really interested me. Especially after hearing that many of the children in Uganda who the charity helps have been through very traumatic experiences, and by building these playgrounds it allows them to enjoy being a child, improve their social skills and increase their attendance at school.
