About Danum Strings Orchestra - Doncaster
A orchestra for adults and young people. We rehearse classical music as a string orchestra and invite musicians with other instruments to support us at performances. Our aims are to promote musical appreciation and skills in the community by providing opportunities to work in the context of an orchestra, and to bring orchestral music within the range of everyone. As we are no longer with the Local Authority, we need every penny we can raise to help with rehearsal room hire, purchase of music, equipment, services, etc. We keep our membership subscriptions as low as possible, especially for young people, so that everyone is encouraged to share the experience of playing with musicians who have a wide range of skills, ability and experience.
