I am one of 5,000 UK scouts going to the World Scout Jamboree in W. Virginia, USA, in 2019. Over 40,000 scouts worldwide take part in challenging activities and tasks to build our knowledge of each other’s cultures, understanding how our lives are different and exploring how to work together across racial, religious, cultural and social barriers. We each need to raise nearly £4000 in sponsorship to fund our place, and to offset the costs of scouts from poorer nations.
