Hospital Arts for North East Yorkshire (hafney) aim to relieve sickness and preserve and protect physical, mental and emotional health in the hospitals of North East Yorkshire through the use of the arts. The importance of the arts and good design in improving well being in healthcare has been increasingly accepted and now forms a significant part of the evidence that fuels the concept that a direct link can be demonstrated between patient health and quality of care.
