Helping Dogs in Romania (HDIR) was founded in 2014. The cause is led by founder Elizabeth Lean and run by a team of volunteers across the UK, who work directly with rescuers in Romania, saving dogs from cruel conditions and painful death sentences. The works to connect dog lovers with their ideal pet, and manages all the veterinary checks, importing and transport. HDIR also keep safe a number of dogs who aren't yet ready to be homed, whose housing & rehab is costly but worthwhile.
It's simple to use and it's free. Since we launched in 2005, we've helped thousands of good causes raise money simply by shopping online. Our community of over 1.8 million loyal supporters has so far raised over £31 million.
