About East African Playgrounds Uganda 2018 - Lydia Knight
On the 5th July 2018 I will travel to Uganda with the charity East African Playgrounds. I will stay in Uganda for 3 weeks where I will explore the country on a 5 day trek, discover the last remaining wild silverback gorillas however most importantly help develop a local community. I will be spending my final week transforming an empy playing field into a playground for the local school children. As well as that I will assist in a creative play programme to inspire the children at a school to learn, explore and develop themselves. My goal is to fundraise £2,000, over half of which will go towards the charity, and I aim to do this in a vairety of ways (bag packs, bun sales, selling arts and crafts). I am extremely grateful of any funds, allowing me to achieve my goal and so letting my explore and help in Uganda!
