About Newquay Rowing Club
Newquay Rowing Club has the three oldest Cornish Pilot gigs, this is where the Cornish gig racing started, these gigs along with newer gigs are taken out of the water during the winter to be treated, this ensures they last for many more years. Newquay Rowing Club has never stopped racing even through the war years. The club has rowers of all ages and everyone is encouraged to get out on the open sea to enjoy this sport.
