About our cause

The ‘Trinity Malawi Project’ seeks to support the charity Hope4Malawi (http://www.hope4malawi.org/) through fundraising and volunteering within a local community, centred on our partnership school - Chipwepwete. Hope4Malawi (http://www.hope4malawi.org/) was founded by Sara and Mark Goodman, parents at Trinity School, following many trips and much time spent in Africa. The charity helps schools and orphanages in Malawi to offer a better life for the children in their care. The charity also helps children in UK schools connect with children in Malawi and gives those students an opportunity to make a tangible difference. Malawi is one of the world’s least developed countries, ranking 171 out of 187 in the 2011 UN Human Development Index and four thousand children die every day from diseases caused by unsafe water and sanitation. Since 2008 Hope4Malawi (http://www.hope4malawi.org/) has been involved with projects in rural villages, schools and orphanages - raising funds and helping implement the projects during trips to Malawi.
