In the summer of 2017, Sophie is embarking on a month long expedition to Peru with The Queen's School, Chester, to help to improve the standard of living for rural communities and to take part in ongoing conservation activities to protect valuable and sensitive ecological areas. The school party is based in a camp in the heart of a rural community in Peru and the project work includes: School refurbishment and the building of village infrastructure; Teaching English and ICT skills in the school; Tourism development; and Path maintenance.
