South Yorkshire Rugby League Service Area


The aim of the South Yorkshire Rugby League Service Area is to provide a structure which enables all groups involved with Rugby League within the South Yorkshire area to work together and in partnership with other agencies towards the common goal of developing Rugby League. Both in terms of the quality and quantity of Clubs, Coaches, Players, Volunteers and Match Officials. Currently the South Yorkshire Service Area is involved in a number of schemes and projects including a South Yorkshire wide Coach Education & Development project, A Junior Coach Education & Development project, Coordination and administration of a South Yorkshire Wide schools competition at year groups 7 – 11, coordination of the South Yorkshire Representatives sides at under 12’s – 18’s age groups, In addition to giving local clubs continues support in areas such as funding, coach and volunteer development, and helping to attract more young players to clubs giving them the opportunity to play the game in a safe, child friendly environment.<br /><br />
