About The Virginia Woolf Statue
We are half-way to reaching our target of £50,000 to create the first life-size bronze statue of Virginia Woolf in the UK. Next year will be the centenary of the Hogarth Press, which Virginia co-founded with her husband Leonard in Richmond. Virginia became one of the leading lights of Modernist Literature and a champion of gender equality, yet she does not yet have a full-size statue in her honour. Only 3% of public statues are of women. Help us to honour female achievement.
