A community based project aimed at reducing food waste, food poverty and social isolation. We are planning to open a food surplus store in our town centre to give anyone the chance to join our membership, giving them access to surplus food at a greatly reduced cost. We intercept perfectly edible food which would otherwise go to landfill and make it available to anyone at a greatly reduced cost. This not only saves the food from landfill but also saves the cost of basic food and essentials.
It's simple to use and it's free. Since we launched in 2005, we've helped thousands of good causes raise money simply by shopping online. Our community of over 1.8 million loyal supporters has so far raised over £31 million.
