The Waltham Forest Disability Resource Centre was founded in 1988 by disabled people who worked with the council to provide adults with disabilities a Centre where they could learn new skills, promote independence and healthy living through various activities, to be chosen and managed by themselves, making it unique in the way it is run and the facilities it offers its clients. WFDRC aims to assist disabled people to develop themselves and make the most of their lives.
