Wigan Rugby Union

Wigan Rugby Union Club are a small community sports club established over 100 years ago and run wholly by volunteers. We provide the community with opportunity to play and support Rugby Union with teams from under 6 age group through to adult rugby. But we are not just about rugby. We open up our facilities to local schools other sports clubs and business and provide a great community social venue. We have recently invested in the conversion of a disused space into a first class community health and fitness centre and have invested a great deal of time and money in upgrading our social facilities. For a small club, raising money to support these developments is challenging. This is why we are grateful for you signing up to support us through this site. Our changing rooms and showers are over 60 years old and desperately in need of being brought up to the required standard, our floodlights are failing and need replacing if we are to continue to provide evening activities and as our club use increases we need to develop an all-weather area to allow increased access to local schools.
