About Young Actors Theatre
Children from Islington live with high levels of poverty and deprivation, and Young Actors Theatre offers them free, or very cheap classes for families on benefits in acting, singing and dance. It is a home from home for many of the 650 kids who come every week. It is a refuge where they have fun, be themselves and learn real skills. 200 of the kids get paid work in film and TV through the in-house agency which helps to break the cycle of unemployment in the area.
