Management Accountant


We are looking to recruit a Financial Controller / Management Accountant to join easyfundraising, reporting to the Chief Executive, as a member of the management team.  The primary purpose of the role is to manage all aspects of the finance function, including internal controls and processes.

Key Responsibilities

·                  Producing monthly management accounts for Easyfundraising Ltd

·                  Managing the whole finance function including financial data, general and specific ledgers (especially AP, AR, payroll, accrued income) and reporting to management

·                  Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasting

·                  Managing audit, tax compliance and returns and financial accounts preparation 

·                  Managing registrations appropriate to the Group, both in UK and US

·                  On-going development of accounting systems, procedures and controls

·                  Managing cash flow, debtor control and working capital

·                  Continually reviewing of all costs to improve profitability

·                  Liaising with HR manager (re payroll) and commercial support team (re invoicing).

·                  Initially completing bookkeeping, before hiring bookkeeping resource.

·                  Liaising on financial matters with investors

·                  Managing matters such as insurance and client contract preparation

·                  Managing the company documentation, and liaising with company secretary

Person Specification

Education / Qualifications

·                  CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified 

Professional Skills/ Abilities:

·                  Accountant with commercial experience, ideally from within the online media industry and appreciation of accounting for annual contracts

·                  Experience in financial reporting. 

·                  Tax knowledge and experience would be desirable

·                  Exposure to managing a US subsidiary

·                  Contract appraisal skills and experience of managing the legal side of commercial operations would be advantageous

·                  Computing skills: Excel expertise (comfortable with pivot tables, lookups and similar functions) and Powerpoint competence essential, familiarity with other financial and non-financial (e.g. Salesforce) packages useful.

Interim Graphic Designer

Our design team require interim design support during this busy and exciting time. This will be a 6 month interim role and reports to the design team within our growing marketing department. We are looking for a variety of skills and talent including; web/email design, digital graphics and banners, graphic and print design, illustration and html/css.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design emails and visual content to be included within regular email campaigns
  • Design web graphics and banners for the site including banners for affiliate websites
  • Posters, flyers, social posts and other tools for our users to promote easyfundraising and sign up supporters – this is often designed in illustrator then transferred into MS Word
  • Produce illustrations or animations for one off projects
  • Produce high-quality designs on time, on brief and on brand

Essential skills / experience:

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • A passion for design and an understanding of layout and design principles
  • Strong typography
  • HTML / CSS skills required
  • Experience designing and building HTML email templates would be ideal
  • Experience designing for both printed and digital media
  • Strong experience / understanding working within brand guidelines
  • Illustration skills / experience
  • Relevant design qualification
