2534 (Fakenham) Squadron ATC

2534 Squadron is in Norfolk and Suffolk wing of the Air Training Corps. The ATC (Air Training Corp) is part of the Air Cadet Organisation which is sponsored largely by The Royal Air force. A significant part of our funding also comes from donations and fundraising. The ATC is the RAF’s cadet force, divided into six regions, 36 wings and more than 900 squadrons within communities around the UK. There are over 40,000 members aged 13 to 20 plus a significant amount of adult staff volunteers and committee members. The Air Training Corps main aims are to promote and encourage a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force among young people. Provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life, encourage the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship. However, the ATC is not a recruiting service for the RAF. It is a Charity Youth Organisation and the main focus is to provide male and females of between 13 and 20 years old a thrilling educational but above all fun environment in which to make friends, learn new skills and enjoy events and experiences from the very first day they become a cadet.
