About St Luke's Save Our Sanctuary Campaign
Save Our Sanctuary Campaign has been set up by the Friends of St Luke's Farnworth Committee and is currently busy trying to raise funds needed to carry out urgent repair work on the Chancel roof. As St Luke's church is over 800 years old English Heritage is supporting St. Luke’s Church with a pledge for funding of £59,000. But with the essential and urgent repair works required to the roof costing over £249,000 there is still more funding to find. St Luke’s Church has pledged all its reserves towards the costs but still needs to find over £60,000 immediately in order allow the work to go ahead.
