About Tara Arts
Tara Arts is a theatre company established in 1977, with a commitment to
producing Global Theatre for Local Audiences in London, across the nation
and overseas. After 3 decades of touring across the country and overseas,
the company’s vision is to renovate its small theatre space in south-west
London into an outstanding, 100-seat producing theatre with on-site
rehearsal and workshop facilities using sustainable systems and materials.
This will be a landmark theatre building, dedicated to forging East-West
connections. It will combine an earth floor in its main performance space
with reclaimed wood from India and the latest energy-saving technology.
Support for our work now will go towards the renovation of this unique
theatre in Britain.
