About Vision4children (The Littler Trust)

With more than 1.4 million blind children in the world, and 50% needlessly so, V4C was set up to help reduce the unnecessary blindness. We are an international children's sight saving charity, based at Alder Hey Children's hospital. Our vision is that no child is needlessly blind! We offer support and clinical information to parents or carers of visually impaired children, our specific focus is on Childhood Cataracts, one of the commonest cause of treatable blindness in the world today. We conduct research to find better treatments and outcomes for children and we provide paediatric eye care training programmes to the developing world where the need is greatest.
