If you’ve just brought a Windows 10 computer (you remembered to use easyfundraising, didn’t you?) or upgraded your laptop or computer, then you’re probably enjoying a swish, smart and super speedy computer of the future.

In loads of ways this is great, but in one big way it isn’t. You can’t use our Donation Reminder with Microsoft’s new Windows 10 browser.

Not to worry though, there are a couple of things you can do to make sure you don’t miss out on free donations.

Get the app

If you shop on your phone or tablet get the app for easy access to nearly 3,000 retailers as well as free donations. It’s available in the App Store and Google Play

Get Google Chrome

Or you can use Chrome to browse the web. Chrome is Google’s free web browser and it works brilliantly with both Windows 10 and our Donation Reminder. Horray!

Here’s how to get Google Chrome on Windows 10

  1. Head over to the Chrome website
  2. Download Chrome to your computer.
  3. If prompted, click Run or Save.
  4. If you chose Save, double-click the installer file to get the installation started.
  5. When it’s finished, open Chrome by clicking on the app icon.

Go on, try it now! Open Chrome then find your way back to this page and we’ll help you install the Donation Reminder.

Installing the Donation Reminder

Now that you’ve installed Chrome, it’s time to get the Donation Reminder.

Before we go any further, make sure you’re looking at this page using Chrome, if not open Chrome then come back here.

If you’re using Chrome right now, you can install the Donation Reminder now:

Follow the instruction on that page and the Donation Reminder will be up and running in no time and you’ll never miss the chance to collect another donation!

Making Chrome your main internet browser

Right, nearly done! Once you’ve installed Chrome and you’ve install the Donation Reminder, the final step is to make Chrome as your default browser – that means whenever you click an internet link it’ll open up automatically in Chrome. Here’s how to do it.

  1. Open the Start menu and select Settings
  2. Click on the System option:settings-panel
  3. Now click Default apps from the choices on the left-hand side.default-apps
  4. Scroll-down then click on the internet logo underneath Web browser. This displays a list of the internet browsers on your computer in a pop-up.
  5. Choose Chrome as the internet browser you want to use.

And that’s it. From now on, all internet links will open in Chrome and you’ll never miss another free donation!
