About 1st Helmsley Scout Group
1st Helmsley was the first scout group in the district in now what is called Ryedale, the group was formed in 1909 and is one of the oldest group since scouting started in 1907. The scout hut was build in 1912 so as you can imagine its old and things are needed to be done to bring it into the 21st century. Your help will ensure scouting continues in Helmsley.
