What started as a conversation at a New Year’s Eve party in 2002, easyfundraising officially launched in 2005. Whilst undergoing treatment for cancer, our founder Ian Woodroffe had the idea to connect fundraising with the then growing UK e-commerce sector. With a new found understanding of the importance of fundraising for charities and causes at this critical time in his life, his vision was to create an easy and free way to raise much needed funds for causes across the UK.From something that quite literally started from around his kitchen table, to date easyfundraising has raised over £50 million for over 180,000 charities and good causes (and counting!).Our purpose is simple. Together we turn the everyday spending of daily life into a force for good.
