Alves school is situated at the side of the A96 Forres to Elgin road, at the west end of the village. The building was originally built as a Junior Secondary School, but is now used as a Primary School providing a non-denominational educational service to children from Primary 1 to Primary 7. The school currently has a roll of 50 pupils
