Barrow Hill Engine Shed Society is the charity that manages Barrow Hill Roundhouse, the UK's only surviving operational railway roundhouse, situated near Chesterfield in Derbyshire. Built in 1870, it was threatened with demolition in 1991 when the site was closed by British Rail. It was saved by the charity which has transformed it into an accredited museum and premier event venue.
