The Benefice of Eglwysilan and Caerphilly has five churches, of various ages, and the two oldest ones in particular need support to keep them going. We have a beautiful 12th century church on Eglwysilan mountain, which has recently been repaired to fix a hole in the roof, but which now needs a lot more work to make the tower safe and dry. We also have a fine Victorian church in Caerphilly town which also needs a lot of attention to address leaking in the tower and the nave.
